Terms of Service
1. Agreement & Acceptance
By using the PyWorks website, purchasing our custom software development services, or accessing any products or platforms owned and operated by PyWorks (registered as a Sole Proprietorship with FBR NTN: 42101-8248514-5), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not access or use our services.
2. Scope of Development & Custom Software Services
PyWorks designs, builds, and deploys custom database solutions, custom ERP systems, custom POS software, inventory automation scripts, and mobile/web applications. All software is developed based on the specifications, workflows, and milestones agreed upon with the client during the Architecture phase.
- Milestones & Approvals: Projects are divided into milestone stages. Complete code verification is provided for client preview before final deployment. Final sign-off at deployment marks the completion of the milestone.
- Acceptance & Warranty: Upon deployment, we offer a 30-day technical support warranty to fix any bugs or software errors that deviate from the agreed specifications. Post-warranty updates or support plans are covered under separate SLA terms.
3. Billing, Milestones & Payment Terms
Payments for custom development projects are processed in installments tied directly to deliverables:
- Installment Schedule: Typically, a 30% upfront advance is required to initiate design and database architecture, followed by milestone payments, and a final 20% release upon successful local or cloud deployment.
- Invoicing & FBR compliance: Being a registered entity in Pakistan, all invoices are subject to provincial/federal service taxation rules where applicable. Custom corporate contracts outline detailed tax distribution.
- Milestone Non-Refundability: Once a project milestone is built and reviewed by the client, the corresponding installment payment is non-refundable.
4. Academic & Final Year Project (FYP) Consulting
PyWorks provides assistance and mentorship programs for students working on university Final Year Projects (FYPs) and academic research software:
Educational Intent: Code and logic built under student consulting programs are provided as educational material and operational reference templates. We encourage all students to actively learn and understand the underlying engineering logic. PyWorks holds no liability for university academic grading policies, review outcomes, or academic integrity policies of external institutions.
5. Intellectual Property & Code Ownership
- Client Specific Modules: Upon final clearance of all dues, the client receives full operational access and deployment licenses for the custom build. Intellectual property transfer regarding core source code is governed strictly by the individual custom software contract.
- PyWorks Base Engine: PyWorks retains ownership of all underlying libraries, pre-built frameworks, script helpers, and templates used across multiple client automation tasks.
6. Platform Deployments & Ecosystem Tools
These terms also cover the use of our public software platforms (e.g. E-Catalog). Use of these services is subject to their individual platform parameters, usage restrictions, and unacceptable use frameworks (e.g. absolute prohibition of store scams or illegal trading, subject to immediate account deletion).
7. Jurisdiction & Legal Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any legal claim, dispute, or conflict arising from our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Karachi East, Pakistan.
